Andrés Rivero Baralt

 
 

Andres graduated as lawyer from Universidad Catolica Andres Bello (Caracas, 1999).

Before Andrés started his private practice, Andres worked for the in-house legal departments of several telecommunications and media companies.

Later, Andres was part of the authorities responsible for the Venezuelan telecommunications liberalization process of 2000 and participated in the drafting of the Organic Telecommunications Law of the same year.

Andres holds a master’s degree in audiovisual business management from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (2003).

Andres has been partner of Citemark International IP since 2004. There, he has been in charge of coordinating the Patent Prosecution Department, the Translation Department, as well as the management of the firm, among other responsibilities.

In addition, Andres is a certified yoga instructor and coordinator of the social program “Yoga en los Barrios.” He has been climbing instructor and has served as Season Director for Camp La Llanada.

 

Claudia Carolina Pacheco Rodriguez

 

Claudia is passionate about yoga. She likes to watch Japanese anime and superhero movies.

Claudia graduated cum laude as lawyer from Universidad Fermin Toro (Barquisimeto, 2003). She has practiced administrative law in public institutions and worked for several law firms on tax matters. She holds a specialization in tax law from Universidad Central de Venezuela. She has been owner and partner of Pacheco Mata y Asociados since 2015.

Dylmar Mata Romero

 
 

Dylmar graduated as lawyer from Universidad Catolica Andres Bello (Caracas, 2009).

Dylmar has a vast experience in regulatory affairs and a broad domain of the regulations for import, export, and trade of goods.

Dylmar is passionate about industrial law. At the beginning of her career, she worked as lawyer on parafiscal charges. She has also served as trial lawyer in the banking, insurance, and financial areas.

Dylmar holds a specialization on tax law from Universidad Central de Venezuela and has completed several diploma courses on entrepreneurship and management of service companies. She has been owner and partner of Pacheco Mata y Asociados  since 2015.

In addition, Dylmar is a meditation instructor, coach on several trends of personal growth, and trainer from O&O Academy in India.

 

Sebastián González Yanes

 
 

Since Sebastian was young, he has been an orchid grower and passionate about computers and technology. Nowadays, he is an art collector, a fan of hi-fi systems, and music in general.

When Sebastian started to pursue his law degree, he soon realized he wanted to devote himself to industrial property law. He has been providing legal services on patents, trademarks, and industrial designs for over twenty-seven years.

Sebastian graduated as lawyer from Universidad Catolica Andres Bello (Caracas, 1998) and earned the master’s degree Magister Lvcentinvs in Intellectual and Property Law and New Technologies from Universidad de Alicante (Spain, 2004) and the diploma course on business management for lawyers from Universidad Catolica Andres Bello (Caracas, 2005).

Sebastian began his law career in the intellectual property department of a renowned general practice law firm. Later on, he founded his own, which he managed for twenty years until its merger with Pi360 legal.

During his stay in Spain, Sebastian was attracted to the areas of patents, utility models, and industrial design, which have been the focus of his career along trademarks and other distinctive emblems.

During his general practice, Sebastian has participated in many due diligence for the purpose of merges and acquisitions. Consequently, he is actively involved in data rooms and provides assistance to corporate clients and other law firms on the assessment of portfolio of assets regarding intellectual and industrial property, risk assessment, and support for decision-making.

As a firm believer of science and research, Sebastian’s work and study greatly focuses on the pharmaceutical industry and life sciences, where he is proficient in several aspects such as the protection of results by means of patents, litigations, invalidation as well as the stages established before the regulatory authorities on the matter.

Sebastian has been invited to participate as author in the following publications:

1-Pharmaceutical Trademarks Roundtable / Issue 68, 2017 World Trademark Review.

2-Procedures and strategies for pharmaceutical brands: Venezuela, 2016 World Trademark Review.

Sebastian actively participated in the drafting of a project on Industrial Property Law that was delivered to the Science and Technology Committee of the National Assembly of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

As a lawyer, Sebastian has been featured in several rankings like Legal 500, Chambers and Partners, and WTR 1000.

Sebastian is part of and collaborates with committees of international organizations such as INTA, ECTA, Pharmaceutical Trademark Group, AIPPI e AIPLA.

 

Matías Pérez Irazábal

 
 

Matias is passionate about music and art. He is both creative and disruptive. He is a sea and mountain lover.

Matias graduated as lawyer from Universidad Fermin Toro (Barquisimeto, 2004).

Before he earned his law degree, Matias was already linked to intellectual property through musical events. He began his studies in this area and was the author of the thesis on unfair competition of commercial brands in the Andean Community in 2003.

In 2008, Matias earned his postgraduate degree in intellectual property from Universidad Metropolitana with his thesis on procedures of commercial brand awareness in Venezuelan law.

Matias was an intern, lawyer, and junior partner in a top ranked firm on intellectual property in Caracas. He worked there in the departments of trademarks, changes, licenses, and renovations, litigations, and appeals. He also provided consultancy to renowned companies of Legal 500 for the protection of its assets in Venezuela from 2003 to 2020. He later joined the team of Pacheco Mata & Asociados, which then became Pi360 Legal.

Matias has a vast experience in every single aspect of intellectual property, trademarks, copyrights, inventions, domain names, and contentious-administrative law litigation. He also has a broad and successful practice on infringements.

Matias is an active lawyer of the intellectual property guild in Venezuela and abroad.

Matias is an active member of the Venezuelan Industrial Property Agents Association, which he chaired from 2014 to 2018. He is currently member of the advisory council. He is member of the Anti-Piracy Committee of the International Trademark Association (INTA), AIPLA, and AIPPI.

Matias has written several articles on intellectual property for well-known international publications. He graduated as broadcaster from Universidad Central de Venezuela. He is a regular guest at radio shows to talk about matters on intellectual property.
